The work is part of a larger project which deals with understanding patterns of population genetic structure in marine gastropods along the Indian coastline.

Job Description:

Help researchers in field-work along the west coast of India, collecting gastropod samples and ecological data from rocky shores, mangroves and fish landing sites. The internship duration is for two months in March and April, 2014. The work involves travel along the west coast, covering locations in Kerala, Karnataka, Goa, and Maharashtra. Expenses towards travel, food and accommodation during the period of field work will be covered by us.

Eligibility:

Fluency in vernacular languages and/or with good driving skills are strongly encouraged to apply.
