Title: Fellowship- Invasive Alien Species, NBA
Location: Chennai
Organization’s profile:
Centre for Biodiversity Policy and Law (CEBPOL) at the National Biodiversity Authority, Chennai will provide this fellowship to individuals who have relevant expertise and experience on issues of ABS along with adequate knowledge in Biological Diversity Act (2002) and Rules (2004).
The duration of the assignment is for 12 months on a full-time basis. Position is temporary and not permanent.
Job Description:
The incumbent will review current policies on issues of Invasive alien species, prepare a background document on the impacts of IAS in India, organise consultations, help towards developing network of expertise, research and develop database of invasive species.
Compensation is Rs.75, 000 per month (Consolidated) subject to TDS at the rates applicable.
Eligibility:
At least a Master’s degree in Life Science 3-5 years of experience working on issues IAS issues along with 2-3 years of experience working on issues of policy related matters.
