Godawari CSP project is now functional

Godawari Green Energy Ltd had set up a CSP power project in Rajasthan which has now entered its production stage. It is a significant achievement for India as it will give a boost to the CSP sector in India. Read more about CSP technology here.

The 150 hectare land area project in Rajasthan is a part of Phase 1 of Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission (JNNSM).  The project is based on the proven solar parabolic trough technology. Read more about Solar Parabolic Troughs here.

With this, the 50 MW project earns the unique distinction of being the first such CSP project to start production in India.  Godawari Green Energy Limited (GGEL) is a flagship company of HIRA group of Industries.

India is aiming to scale up its solar power to 20,000 MW by 2022. Read more about it here.
