Internship opportunity at Dakshin Foundation

Dakshin Foundation is looking for an intern for a project on profiling the grouper fishery of the Andaman Islands.

Job Description:

The project will involve assessment of social, ecological, and economic aspects of this coral reef fishery. Recording of daily fish catch, interacting closely with fishing communities, dissection of fish, and digitization of export data.

The position would be beneficial to those individuals who are interested in gaining experience studying the biological and economic aspects of fisheries science, especially in coral reef fisheries.

Eligibility:

  • Prior experience not necessary and training will be provided.
  • Language proficiency in either Telugu or Bengali.
