Job Description:
Research will focus on new sanitation concepts aimed at more effective recovery of energy (biogas) and nutrients. Many researchers have already recognised and shown that a light thinning of the wastewater is beneficial for this recovery. But the minimal thinning required and many other characteristics of household slurries (sewage and grey water) are still unknown. These must still be determined..
Eligibility:
Master degree in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics, Civil Engineering, or the equivalent and a strong understanding of fluid dynamics (multiphase or non-Newtonian) and the development of numerical models.
