Organization’s profile: WaterAid is an international nongovernmental organisation focused exclusively on improving poor people’s access to safe water, improved hygiene and sanitation in developing countries. WaterAid has operations in 26 countries of Africa, Asia and the Pacific Region. In India WaterAid operates as a liaison Office (Country Office) in New Delhi and Additional Liaison (Regional) Offices in Bangalore, Bhopal, Lucknow, and Bhubaneshwar. In 10 states across the country WaterAid supports the work of a large number of national and regional NGOs in the provision of safe and effective water and sanitation for poor and marginalized communities. Our team of professionals includes programme, policy and finance staff. India Country Programme is one of WaterAid’s most established programmes in Asia with a total of 54 staff. WAI’s programme focus in the coming five years will be promoting and securing the rights and access to safe water, improved hygiene and sanitation for many poor people through direct services and millions more through our influencing work.
Job Description:
The Programme Associate will work under the direct supervision and guidance of the Regional Manager, and work within the Regional team coordinate with the NGO partners and the programme team with respect to all reporting, programme MIS management, and follow up actions on programme documentation. The Post Holder will extent all necessary support functions for effective programme management, and will be responsible for collating all programme information for planning, reporting and desk review. Regularly engage with partners, sector players, local governments and other institutions and support coordination on behalf of the Regional team. Responsible for maintenance and management of key project data on WAI systems both qualitative and quantitative of programme and projects in the region
Eligibility: Master’s degree with 3 years total experience one year of which should in development sector, working with local NGO partners, independently planning and implementing, and demonstrable analytical skills. Desirable qualifications are experience of working in NGOs, and donor reporting.
