Job Title: Programme Manager, HomeNet South Asia Trust

Location: Ahmedabad

Organization’s profile: HomeNet South Asia (www.homenetsouthasia.net) is a Regional network of homebased workers organizations and groups from across Bhutan, Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Maldives, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Its vision is to take the lead in building regional solidarity among Home Based Workers, especially women workers and empowering them to lead a life of dignity and free of poverty by obtaining decent work and social protection. Taking this vision forward, HomeNet South Asia works in five thematic areas for home based workers namely – Visibility, Capability, Security, Mobility & Connectivity.

HomeNet South Asia (HNSA) is dealing in informal economy, especially related to Homebased workers in South Asian Countries (Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan & Sri Lanka). It has been working with Local Organizations, MBOs, NGOs, Unions, Co-operatives, Research Organizations, etc in South Asian Countries. The Programmes implemented by HNSA are need based, supported with survey and research.

Job Description:

  1. Responsible to make the work plan and execute it;
  2. Constant communication and coordination with country HomeNets for the project Closely work with Project Team for the project activity (comprising PMU and country HomeNets)
  3. Conduct the activity in consultation with Project Director and Programme Consultant;
  4. Assist country HomeNets on the activity
  5. Visit country Homenets as per the need of the project to learn the progress of the activities;
  6. Develop quarterly, six monthly and annual report
  7. In coordination with Finance team, work out the forecasting requirements; prepare annual budget, scheduling expenditures; analyze variances and initiate corrective actions;
  8. Develop the system of monitoring for the proper execution of project activities;
  9. Develop strategic plans for the successful implementation of the programme;
  10. Coordination with all the Consultants for the implementation of activities;
  11. Responsible for overall to develop information and awareness raising material of the project;
  12. Local field visit for better understanding about homebased workers
  13. Responsible for successful execution of project
  14. Contribute to the information pool of organization through write ups, sharing photographs, sharing progress report, field visit experience etc.
  15. Contribute overall to awareness raising campaigns of organization (s) for the various programme (s) and project (s).
  16. Will share all the responsibilities of the office as and when require.
  17. Take the ownership with responsibility for accomplishing new and different requests of the organizations.
  18. Will help and assist fellow colleagues as and when required

Eligibility:

  1. Minimum 4 years of experience in Mobilizing and Project Development.
  2. Degree – preferably in Development Studies
  3. Excellent Communication Skills required.
  4. Willingness to travel
