The 3 year project will study prevalence of Batrachochytridium dendrobatidis (Bd) in frogs species in Biodiversity Hotspots in the country. The study will involve field surveys; analyses of samples for rtPCR; sectioning and staining; geo-referencing of samples and performing lab experiments.
Job Description:
The study will use the data to measure prevalence of Bd and identify factors that cause infection in frog populations in India. The study will also screen sick frogs for other diseases.
Eligibility:
Interest in field work, knowledge of GIS techniques, running PCR/qPCR, wet lab work and histology.
