RA-Agriculture and Livelihoods Vacancy at CASPL

Job Title: Research Associate (Agriculture and Livelihoods), Creative Agri Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (CASPL)

This is a vacancy announcement by Creative Agri Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (CASPL), a research and consulting firm in Agriculture and Livestock sector (www.creativeagrisolutions.com). The organization is led by experienced researchers and professionals with extensive field experience in agriculture/agri-business and rural development.

CASPL is a dynamic organization involved in several projects working with various stakeholders including government departments (agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, rural development etc.), national and multi-national agribusinesses, NGOs, research and academic institutions and international donor agencies, including UNFAO, ADB, World Bank, IFPRI, ILRI, etc. We are looking for energetic, bright, committed young professionals to contribute positively towards ongoing projects and organizational growth.

The current assignment entails engagement with ground level research including interactions with farmers, government officials, stakeholders in rural areas, industry players involved in agribusinesses, etc.

Job Description:

The candidate is expected to support the research work by involvement in all aspects of the project including desk review, field data collection (quantitative and qualitative), data analysis and report writing. The successful candidate will also be interacting with the project partners (Government, Public, Private, donor agencies) as and when required. The candidate will also be involved in writing project proposals, coordinate and follow up with stakeholders etc.

Remuneration: The remuneration for above-mentioned positions will commensurate with the educational background, knowledge and understanding about the sector and extent of involvement with the industry. Salary will not be a limitation for final selection. The initial contract is for 3 months, which will be extended to 2 years after review.

Eligibility:

Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in Agribusiness / Food Industry / Food Technology. The position calls for excellent writing skills. At least 3 to 5 years work experience in relevant field is required. Exposure to livestock sector will be an advantage.
