Job Title: Ecology of Forest Owlet, Research Biologists

WRCS is working on Ecology of Forest Owlet in Central India. We are interested in appointing Research Biologists on the project. The details of the project are as given below:

Job Description:

This is an ongoing study where we are examining distribution, occupancy, demography and ecological co-relates of the Forest Owlet in Central India. The research is totally field-based and involves rigorous field work and extensive observations. The applicant will be expected to stay in the field station for most part of the year. The field station is in a small village with basic facilities. The project offers unique opportunity to carry out field research on one of the least studied species in the country and gain interesting insights in to the life of Forest Owlet.

Project Duration: Minimum 2 years from now and likely to extend till the project objectives are addressed satisfactorily. The project offers opportunity for Ph.D to suitable candidates.

Remuneration: NET/Gate qualified applicant will receive Rs 14000/ month for first 2 years and Rs 16000 for the last year. Candidate without NET score will receive Rs. 12000/month as per the UGC norm.

Eligibility:

Post-graduate student from India (male/female) with a passion for wildlife research and working in field. Previous experience in field-based wildlife research will be preferred. We are interested in appointing candidates who possess scientific temperament, excellent writing skill and analytical approach towards the work. Good temper, spirit to work in a team with other researchers and license to drive 2 and 4 wheeler is desirable.
