Senior Project Manager Vacancy at AROH Foundation

Job Title: AROH Foundation, Sr. Project Manager (Livelihoods)

Location: Noida

Organization’s profile:

AROH Foundation is a reputed NGO working in the sectors of Education, Livelihoods, Health and Environment and implementing large-scale projects and social welfare schemes of Government, PSEs and Corporates all across the nation.

AROH seeks applications for the post of Senior Project Manager (Livelihoods) who will be mainly responsible for overall management and implementation of a large-scale placement-linked skill development programme being implemented by the organization in several states of India. The job involves traveling and lot of hard work.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Overall management of the project as per project guidelines and ensuring its outcomes and targets in a time bound manner.
  2. Plan activities of the project, monitor the process against the project outcome and indicators
  3. Supervise and coordinate work of the project staff, trainers and consultants to give quality output.
  4. Coordinate and liaise with all stakeholders, including state government bodies and industries
  5. Prepare quantitative and qualitative reports and documents as per the requirements.
  6. Undertake any other relevant task as required for the project

Eligibility:

The Programme Manager shall have a good understanding on the implementation aspects of the livelihood program. The minimum qualifications required for this position are:

  1. a postgraduate degree in rural development and/or related livelihood development fields from a reputed institute;
  2. 8-10 years of work experience in the field of sustainable livelihoods specifically (Able to handle a large team and currently working in a senior position under a livelihood program)
  3. 3 years of experience in a leadership or management role, preferably in a multi-cultural environment;

Competencies

  1. Excellent management/leadership skills and experience with multidisciplinary teams
  2. Able to take quick decision for effective management and having a positive attitude to take up challenges.
  3. Able to smooth out the differences and bring cohesion among team members.
  4. Advanced skills in strategic planning, monitoring, evaluation, and impact assessment
  5. Extensive experience and skills in preparing project proposals, progress reports, etc. for submission to funders/partners/stakeholders
  6. Solid networking skills, demonstrated experience and success in running a livelihood program.
  7. Excellent spoken communication and writing skills in English required
  8. Excellent IT skills

Management competencies

  1. Work as a team player to support other programmes and activities, promote institutional goals, and encourage integration of ideas and disciplines within the organization and among partners.
  2. Able to lead large teams and direct people and programmes
  3. Able to manage resources (people, financial, inventory)
  4. Strategic thinking
  5. Risk management skills
  6. Develop security guidelines at project locations
