According to the company, this is a zero maintenance unit and can provide up to 3.5 hours of additional power back up in a day.
The company is planning to launch SunJeevini in select key markets in the first phase and will expand it to other markets soon. It will be sold and marketed by Tata Power Solar’s dealer network across these states.
A basic unit will cost about Rs 11,000.
Tata Power Solar provides a range of products such as solar water pump, solar refrigerator, solar rad stud and road flasher, solar signage and solar manpack, solar water heating systems, a range of solar lanterns for lighting needs and solar modules.
