Organization’s profile:

VIKSAT (Vikram Sarabhai Centre for Development Interaction), established in 1977, is an activity of the Nehru Foundation for Development (NFD), Ahmedabad. VIKSAT, engaged in promotion of participatory management of natural resources, believes that the goal of sustainability in natural resources development and management can be achieved only through decisive participation of the local communities aided by an enabling role of the government agencies.

Job Description:

The selected candidate will carry out planning, execution and management of ongoing agriculture related activities at village level, supervision of different agriculture interventions, coordinate agriculture activities with the Field Coordinator and Project Officer as well as the village extension workers and beneficiaries, technical training on agriculture to Supervisors and village extension workers, regular field visits to the project villages for technical support and monitoring.

Compensation will depend on experience and qualification, job will entail travel.

Eligibility:

M.Sc. / MRS (Agronomy) or B.Sc. / BRS (Agriculture / Agronomy)/ related sector with 3 years of experience, knowledge of Gujarati is a must.
