NCSCM is executing the research study on Transformation and Resilience on Urban Coasts (TRUC). The TRUC study is an integration of biophysical and social science approaches to vulnerability assessment of Kolkata city. It involves 20 year historical vulnerability assessment with quantitative model outputs to explore the consequences for vulnerability distributions of individual changes in policy or development pathway, and also future scenario analysis for 2030 and 2050 to appraise key trends in the processes shaping future urban morphology and hazard conditions.
Job Description:
Carry out frequent field visits and subsequent analyses of bio-physical and socio-economic data. Project staff will be under contract as per the permissible NCSCM rules on a consolidated pay basis. Salary for this post is- RS. 16k.
Eligibility:
First class PG degree in Geology/ Geography/ Marine Geology from a recognized university or equivalent and experience in costal geomorphological studies with GIS knowledge.
