Description:

Disinfection is implemented in the final stages of drinking water treatment to eliminate pathogens responsible for a range of waterborne illnesses. The aim of this PhD project is to develop sensitive and rapid new methods for monitoring the effectiveness of drinking water disinfection based on natural organic matter (NOM) optical properties.

Eligibility:

Prior experience in waste water treatment and relevant fields is a necessity.
