Wageningen University (Wageningen, The Netherlands) is currently inviting applications for a ‘sandwich’ PhD candidate who is willing to do research in the framework of the interdisciplinary research programme Climate Policy, Conflicts and Cooperation in Peri-Urban South Asia: Towards Resilient and Water Secure Communities, funded by the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO).

Field research will be done in the applicant’s home country (India/ Nepal/ Bangladesh).

Living allowance is provided for four years (no extension possible) on a full-time basis and will be  € 1.190 per month for the periods spent in the Netherlands and € 595 for the remaining months.

Eligibility:

MSc in social sciences, human geography, political sciences, policy sciences, or related fields from a recognized academic institution in one of the three countries mentioned above;

Excellent academic record as proven by MSc grades and thesis; publications will make the application strong;

Interest in land and water resources, resource conflicts, and / or climate change-
