Organization’s profile:

Centre for Biodiversity Policy and Law (CEBPOL) at the National Biodiversity Authority, Chennai will provide this fellowship to individuals who have relevant expertise and experience on issues of ABS along with adequate knowledge in Biological Diversity Act (2002) and Rules (2004).

The duration of the assignment is for 12 months on a full-time basis. Position is temporary and not permanent.

Job Description:

The incumbent will work towards preparing a review document on biodiversity related MEAs and their implementation status, document approaches suggested at global, regional and national level on achieving synergistic action to implement the biodiversity related MEAs in India, work towards developing a base document on options for achieving harmony between biodiversity related MEAs in India, review paper on same.

Compensation is Rs.75, 000 per month (Consolidated) subject to TDS at the rates applicable.

Eligibility:

At least a Master’s degree in Science/ Law/ Policy 3-5 years of experience working on biodiversity MEA issues along with 2-3 years of experience working on implementation issues.
