|Job Title: SELCO Foundation- Field Coordinator
Location: Bangalore, Karnataka
Organization’s profile:
Initially started as a department within SELCO, it spun off in 2010 as a separate legal entity under the umbrella of SELCO Foundation, a registered non-profit organization. The main Labs is located in the small town of Ujire, close to Dharmasthala in Karnataka and was chosen specifically for its proximity to rural communities.
Job Description:
- Conducting community meetings and identifying the needs
- Resolving community issues and collecting beneficiary feedback.
- Supervising and guiding the IEC operators
- Ensuring the IECs processes are implemented well
- Helping the interns and volunteers in their community interactions.
Eligibility:
The Field Coordinator will closely work with the Technician, Project Manager, interns/volunteers to implement and run the Integrated Energy Centers in urban and rural settlements. He/she is also the most visible face of the Foundation to the users and operators/entrepreneurs. The field coordinator will undergo an intensive on-the-job orientation and basic training to enable and administer his/her duties on the field.
Languages: Kannada is must, Hindi and English will be added advantage
Academic Qualification: Graduate / Post Graduate in Social Sciences
Experience: Fresher or 2 year experience of working with urban poor
