Job Description:

The Programme Manager is responsible for supporting the Country Representative (India) in the effective implementation and delivery of the India work programme. This includes planning and implementing the International Workshop on Resource Mobilisation (IWRM) Asia and the India NGO Awards programme. As a member of the International Programmes team, play a role in the management and development of the organization as a whole.

Main areas of responsibility

India NGO Awards Programme

Support the strategy and plan for the India NGO Awards run by Resource Alliance. More specifically, to:

  1. Work with the Country Representative to ensure that the Awards programme is delivered to the highest standards and consistently each year
  2. Lead on the India NGO Awards programme including planning, logistics and implementation to ensure delivery of the programme is as per plan and budget
  3. Support the acquisition of funding and sponsorships to cover the costs of running the Awards programme
  4. Under the guidance of the Country Representative, prepare concept notes, budgets, media plans, publicity and marketing plans, and interact with and report to headquarters and donors
  5. Manage relationships with all stakeholders, i.e. donors, assessors, jury and awardees
  6. Provide timely and accurate financial and narrative reports
  7. Ensure the delivery of planned programme activities
  8. Coordinate and organise the Awards launch and prize giving ceremony
  9. Develop and implement relevant communication tools

International Workshop on Resource Mobilisation (IWRM) Asia

Plan and deliver the IWRM Asia programme. More specifically, to:

  1. Lead on the International Workshop on Resource Mobilisation (IWRM) Asia. Under the overall guidance of the Country Representative, plan and execute the IWRM. This includes planning, preparation of budgets, and coordination with headquarters, interacting with vendors, coordination with potential participants and marketing and publicity of the IWRM. The Programme Manager is also responsible for the successful onsite delivery of the IWRM.
  2. Ensure that each IWRM is financially self-sustainable

Eligibility:

  1. Support the Country Representative to build relationships with various stakeholders, including clients, educational institutions, NGO networks, funders and others
  2. Support the Country Representative to plan and deliver the overall RA India programme
  3. Support the Country Representative in preparing annual work plans and budgets
  4. Under the direction of the Country Representative, use new and social media to market RA India’s activities
  5. Under the direction of the Country Representative, proactively market RA India’s areas of work to a wide range of stakeholders
  6. Supervise the maintenance of the contacts database of RA India, maintained by the Admin Assistant to ensure RA India has an updated and wide network of contacts at any given time
  7. Under the direction of the Country Representative, undertake research to support the activities of RA India
  8. Any other activities that may be assigned by RA India and any other tasks associated with supporting and developing the International Programme agenda
