The Society’s guiding principle has always been that conservation must be based on scientific research – a tradition exemplified by its former president, late Dr Sálim Ali.
Job Description:
BNHS, India’s foremost environmental research Organization requires Research Assistant for its one year project on bird-strike assessment and management in Mumbai Airport. On completion of the project, person may be absorbed in projects of the Society, if vacancy exist and if found suitable. Only those desirous of making a career in wildlife research need to apply.
Eligibility: M.Sc. in Zoology, Botany, wildlife or related sciences, preferably with experience in grassland vegetation and bird studies. Basic knowledge of computers is essential. Researcher will be based at Mumbai airport throughout the tenure of the project, and be responsible for carrying out the fieldwork Accommodation will be provided near the project site.
