The joint GOI-UNDP Country Programme Action Plan (2014-2017) proposes that as part of the programme, Government sharing and support arrangements, including the use of service-provision models, will be pursued.

The District Disaster management officer will be based at District Collectorate office in Jharkhand.

Job Description:

The incumbent will act as the nodal officer for assisting the district administration in day-to-day coordination required for smooth implementation of various DRR activities in the district, carry out consultations with various stakeholders on disaster management activities, managing budget, work planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of DRR activities. Help in drafting technical notes, letters, reports and other materials required by the district administration.

Compensation is fairly competent, job will entail travel.

Eligibility:

At least a Master’s degree in social sciences, geography, environment, economics, management or related sector and min. 2 years of experience in the related field.
