1. Tesla Model 3 is the No.1 Electric Car

The compact Tesla model 3 is not only the most popular electric vehicle in the industry, but also in the last six months, the automaker has sold it more than any other electric vehicles. According to Inside EV’s.com’s website, 1,06,864 all-electric vehicles have been sold in the UK so far this year, with 63% of the Tesla model 3 alone. Between January and June 2019, 67,650 vehicles of Tesla Model 3 were sold. While Telsa model X and Telsa model S have been at the down bit in the last 6 months. The top 5 selling electric vehicles are – Telsa model 3 (67,650 unit), Telsa model X (9000 unit), Chevrolet Bolt (8281 unit), Tesla model S (7225 unit) and Nissan Leaf (6008 unit).

2. Renault is preparing to bring an electric car to India by 2022

French automobile giant Renault plans to launch an electric car in India by 2022. The Ranult Kwid electric version is currently on sale in China. In today’s time, electric vehicles are required, but adopting it quickly is a larger because launching an EV is easy, but it is not easy to manage according to the ecosystem. If EVs are to become mainstream, ecosystem for EV’s needs to be provided too. The latest plans of Renault are specially designed for the Triber India market. Its process and collaboration will be between Renault team in India and France.

3. Tamil Nadu is introducing new rules to promote EV’s

The Tamil Nadu government has been offering raft of incentives and special sops for 3 to 5 years to attract electric vehicle manufacturers and allied industries, so that there can be 100% EV mobility in future. Also, it has been suggested to free the road tax under the draft policy to promote Tamil Nadu government EV purchases. Apart from this, the government is giving the option of GST refunds, capital subsidies and payroll based incentives to the investors of EV industry, for which EV policy can be implemented. The state government also plans to develop two new parks for electric vehicles in the future. One park will be near Chennai and the other near the border of TN and Karnataka.

4. Ford will trial blockchain based electric vehicle

Car manufacturer Ford announced its intention to fuel the expansion of blockchain based plug in hybrid electric vehicle in the German city of Cologne. The Cologne trial will take a year, which will have 10 vehicles, under which nine Ford transit vans and one Ford car. Each custom designed vehicle will be equipped with hybrid engines and new technology. Plug in hybrid electric vehicles build a virtual geographic boundary and will be based on blockchain technique using GPS under which when the car enters a certain zone, then it goes into electric drive mode. The switch, enter and exit vehicle time are recorded in the blockchain. This record will be shared with the vehicle owners.

5. Sweden Powertrain launched compact “crate” EV motor

Sweden Powertrain is the British engineering firm responsible for the all-electric swind-e classic mini, launched a compact “crate” motor for the electric car which is 600 mm wide, 280 mm tall and 70 kg in weight. The firm claims that the powertrain has a wide range of applications, which is suitable for commercial vehicles, sports cars and classic cars. The company has also claimed that this “crate” EV motor is the highest power / volume ratio of any electric motor in the market. This motor light is designed for commercial, sport and classic vehicles. Hence, this EV motor will change the direction of electrification for the small automaker.

6. Swedish start-up debuted city-sized electric car

A Swedish start-up is making a city sized electric car for the UK for less than $ 19,000. It is a very traditional electric, which is designed for an urban runabout. It has all the advantages and disadvantages of its three seater form factor. The emission-free operation of the city-sized electric car shows some versatility with a 170 mile maximum range. Its range will be higher than the upcoming EV’s such as the Honda E and fiat 500 E, but for some people it will also have a size disadvantage. Also, people who need only a basic 12 kwh battery, they can use fast charging time in 50 kw changing station, this charger can charge from 20 to 80% in 9 minutes. It is also called a smartphone car.

7. Taiwan company Gogoro launched viva in EV’s market

Taiwan’s electric vehicle company Gogoro launched its new vehicle Viva which is a lightweight scooter, and is smaller than the company’s smart scooter mopeds and more powerful than an electric bike. This scooter can reach speeds of up to 85 km with Gogoro’s swap-paddle batteries. These are charged like their smart scooters. The Viva is designed to be an environmentally friendly alternative to gas scooters from 50cc to 100cc. Taiwan tested the vehicle in their home country before bringing it to the international market. It is made of recyclable scratch proof solid core polypropylene and is available in 5 colors. The Viva 100 will come into the market for sales with USD $ 1800 with optional accessories.

8. IIT attempts to make Delhi EV driverless

 IIT Delhi already operates electric vehicles within the campus and is trying to venture convert into a driverless electric vehicle. The Director of the institute said that this is a project which will demonstrate autonomous EV technology and reduce the cost of the driver. It is planned to be completed within six months. Last year, the institute demonstrated using the network of Ericsson and the 5G test-bed from reliance jio, after which Ericsson, Reliance Jio and IIT Delhi have partnered to make the EV driverless. Initially, the driverless EV will be run between two points inside the campus.

9. Amazon, EV’s biggest buyer

Amazon is investing with various start-ups to become the largest buyer of electric vehicles in the automative history. Over the next decade, a Michigan based EV start-up will manufacture and distribute 100,000 electric vans for Amazon. The first of these 10,000 electric vans will start running on roads by 2021 and by 2030 all 100,000 electric vans will be in full operation on behalf of Amazon. Amazon has also invested $ 700 million for electric pickups and SUV’s. The other competitive edge of Amazon is TESLA and Rivian. The Rivian has impressed its visitors with an electric seven-passenger vehicle RS1 SUV and four-passenger vehicle RT1 pickup. Ford extended a hand in support of Amazon.

10. Tata Motors launches the Tiger EV India

 Tata Motors has launched the first electric car named Tiger for its personal buyers. It can cover a distance of 213 km on a single charge. The car’s starting price is Rs. 9.44 lakhs. The price of the electric car will be steeper for the personal buyer, as subsidy under the FAME India scheme by the government is not extended to the personal buyer of electric four wheelers. The car has a 21.5 kwh battery pack and two charging ports, it has fast charging as well as slow charging. Tata has said that the car will be available in three different variants and will be sold in 30 cities of the country.

11. GM to rethink its strategy for electric vehicles

General Motors did not initially recognize the fact that the best approach is to buy a premium car due to the special technical aspects of the electric vehicle. GM Bolt made a mistake in understanding the EV market potential, where everyone is searching for a mass-market EV solution. GM Bolt needs to continue developing the conventional car in the mass market, as it is important for the premium EV market. EV is currently a small part of the global market. Not all carmakers can achieve EV strategic. GM Bolt is also strategizing to launch its new electric vehicle.

12. Polestar’s first fully electric car enters the market

The Polestar 2 is in the fully electric car innovation lab which will perform the first fully electric vehicle in the market. It is a polestar 2 “avante – garde” five-door fastback saloon car, built on the Volvo all-electric adaptable compact modular architecture platform. It is an alternative to car petrol vehicle and is offered with high-quality driving experience fuelled by a 78 Kw/h battery, 330-newton meter torque, electric front, and 150 Kw rear axle drive motors. This car can also accelerate from 0 to 62 miles per hour in just 5 seconds. It uses the car’s momentum to reclaim energy while applying the electric car’s motor brake.

13. JV of RIL and BP Group will form EV network

The joint venture of Reliance Industry Limited and BP Group announced that they are partnering for fuel retailing in India. This joint venture will create a charging network for EVs across India by establishing CNG and LNG. An EV charging station will be established every 25 km in the highways connecting the cities. RIL holds a 51% stake in the joint venture and BP Group holds a 49% stake. The joint venture plans to set up 5500 fuel retail outlets across India. After the completion of this process, the government will install separate charging stations for heavy electric vehicles such as buses and trucks every 100 km on both the highways.

14. Jackson Reveals Incredible Electric Car Battery

Trevor Jackson, a former Royal Navy official turned inventor, has developed an incredible electric car battery that can last up to 1500 miles, and is four times the capacity of the industry’s top model. This battery power is not only capable of driving an electric car, but it can also be used to run buses, salaries and even aircraft. Jackson’s invention for its invention was signed by Essex based engineering firm Austin Electric, with plans to do some electric Tuk Tuk for the Asian market along with affordable and long-lasting electric bikes. Also, a grant is from the Advance Propulsion Center, which participates in business, innovation and skill development.

15. Ford, M&M Company to Build EVs Together

The Mahindra Company is expected to diversify its electric vehicles business due to the Mahindra & Mahindra Company’s partnership with the Ford company. Under a strategic alliance with Ford, M&M will jointly build EV’s for India and other emerging markets. Ford also plans to electrify more than 50% of its vehicle by 2022. The two companies have already confirmed that the first product from the joint venture will be an electric sedan based on Ford’s aspire platform, which sold in India and other emerging markets under M&M and Ford marquees. Therefore, with the help of Ford, Mahindra can fully participate in the creation of the company EV.

16. Volvo wants to achieve the goal of all-EV by 2025

Volvo cars unveiled the first electric vehicle called the XC40 Recharge. Volvo’s XC40 will include an EV every year till 2025 under its ambitious business strategy, slashing 40% of the carbon footprint lifecycle. Volvo’s car is making these changes to become a climate natural company by 2040. The automaker plans to represent 50% of all-electric vehicles global sales by 2025. All models of Volvo will be electrified, which can mean hybrid, plug-in electric or all-electric vehicles. Each Volvo model will have the option of recharge. Each EV model will come with free electricity for one year to encourage electric driving.

17. Ford to build EV charging station for all companies

Ford will start selling the electric crossover SUV with styling based on the Ford Mustang, as well as an electric version of the Ford F-150 pickup being developed, but before that ford company will build USA’s largest electric vehicle charging station. Ford co-operated with the charging network Ford-pass Greenlots and Electrify America. Ford-pass network chargers will work with EVs from all companies, including Tesla. The charging network includes fast chargers which can charge EV batteries up to 80% in 40 minutes. Ford has also announced that it is also working with Amazon Home Services, which sets up a charging station at home for customers who purchase ford EVs.
