Title: Phd position in Transportability Of Household Slurries
The Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences at Deft University of Technology, Netherlands is a leading international research and education. Research addresses societal issues.
Research will focus on new sanitation concepts aimed at more effective recovery of energy (biogas) and nutrients. Many researchers have already recognised and shown that a light thinning of the wastewater is beneficial for this recovery. But the minimal thinning required and many other characteristics of household slurries (sewage and grey water) are still unknown. These must still be determined..
Master degree in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics, Civil Engineering, or the equivalent and a strong understanding of fluid dynamics (multiphase or non-Newtonian) and the development of numerical models.
