The 3 year studentship is funded by the NERC Radioactivity in the Environment (RATE) Programme (http://www.nerc.ac.uk/research/programmes/rate/ ) and is part of the TREE consortium (TRansfer – Exposure – Effects) comprising eight UK research institutions studying the transfers and effects of radioactivity in the environment.
Job Description:
The research work will focus on measuring and modelling radio-isotope geochemistry in terrestrial and aquatic environments including the independent operation of trace analysis and chemical speciation instrumentation (e.g. IC- and SEC-ICP-MS) and development of existing and new methods as required.
Eligibility:
Master degree in Chemistry, Geochemistry, Earth Science, Environmental Science, Soil Science or a related discipline.
