Cleaning a home with harsh chemicals is a risk for both the human health and natural environment.

Many cleaning products that are commonly used come with chemicals dangerous to overall human health. Many of these products emit gases that are harmful. Even many cause major diseases. Use of such products is dangerous in a home, especially for children.

Many households are switching to natural cleaning products instead of chemical, due to the safety they provide. Natural cleaning products are easy to use and save extra expenses. These products are kinder to the environment for the fraction of the cost. A greater benefit is that they can help you making your own cleaners.

Here are some natural cleaning products that you can make on your own. You don’t need to be worried about their negative effects; these are environment-friendly.

Some Natural Cleaning Products:

Undiluted White Vinegar

Vinegar is a natural cleaning agent. Undiluted white vinegar is useful for tougher stains. White vinegar is good for tougher cleaning problems like hard water deposits or soap scrums.  It is especially useful for cleaning of toilet boil. First, pour enough water in the toilet bowl to force it out of the bowl. Now Pour vinegar and scrub the bowl with a toilet brush. Do it to remove the stains and odours.

You don’t need to worry any longer showerheads clogged with mineral deposits; Use white vinegar for showerheads. Place half a cup of vinegar in a plastic food bag, and taut it with the showerhead.  Keep it this way for a few hours, then rinse and buff the fixture.

Vinegar as Clothes Softener

Clothes require care during their wash. White vinegar works great for clothes. It softens clothes and cuts detergent residues. Add white vinegar instead of commercial fabric softener for clothes to soften them.

Lemon Rind for cleaning

Lemon is great for home cleaning. It is possible to substitute lemon juice for white vinegar. Use lemon rind to clean some surfaces in your home. Lemon rind is useful for the sharpening of some blades of commonly used household things.

Baking Soda

Another great cleaner is baking soda. Baking soda is a great substitute for some of the hard commercial scouring powders. Its abrasive action and deodorising properties make it even better.

Baking soda is useful to scrub vanity units or remove food deposits from the kitchen. For tougher smut, mix baking soda and water, then apply it to sink. Remove the deposits after these are softened.

Ammonia         

You can use Ammonia to clean your electric oven. Dilute ammonia in water to clean the oven.  This solution can be used to remove burned food from inside the oven.

Ammonia is a great cleaner for windows and mirrors. Use it to clean any stains or fingerprints from windows. It will give sparkling windows in a matter of minutes.

Make Your Own Cleaners:

Glass Cleaner

Cleaning of glass and windows is possible with some simple natural ingredients. Mix some water and white vinegar with some drops of essential oils. Use a spray bottle to store these mixed ingredients. Pour first on a cloth and then clean the window or any glass.

Rust Cleaner

Rust is a major problem for households. Take a half lemon and a half cup of borax, and mix them. Scrub any surface with this mixture to clean.

All-purpose Cleaner and Deodorizer

Warm water and baking soda, mixed, make a great all-purpose cleaner. It is great for counters, kitchen appliances, and inside the refrigerator.  Pour the solution of soda and water on a clean sponge and wipe.

Dishwasher Stain Remover

Dishwasher stain removing becomes a huge problem for many households. It is possible to make it clean with the help of orange drink.

Homemade Carpet Freshener

Take borax, essential oil and baking soda and mix them all. After mixing these ingredients, sprinkle this solution on the surface of the carpet. Keep it for some time. It will act as a rodent detergent. It is good to go after vacuuming it up.

Natural Cleaning products are great for home cleaning as these are not harmful to health and environment. It is safe to use these products for cleaning of household items. It is beneficial for the environment.
