Organization’s profile:

Under the overall guidance of the Representative or designated officer, the National Programme Officer (NPO) will be responsible for steering the work related to the Population and Development Component of the Country Programme Action Plan-8.

Job Description:

The NPO will lead strategy formulation including research on current and emerging areas, assume leadership in undertaking demographic analysis for better understanding of inter-linkages between population and development and work in ensuring better use of statistics and data in planning, monitoring and policy advocacy.

Eligibility:

Ph.D in Demography/Population Studies, Economics, Statistics, Sociology or Environmental Sciences. 5-8 years of relevant experience and good knowledge of data collection systems and research methods-quantitative and qualitative. At least 1-2 years of policy level work and advocacy will be an advantage.
