The Centre for Ecological Sciences, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore has invited applications for the position of Research Assistant (JRF status).

Job Description:

Project if for a nine month duration. It involves extensive field work in Himalayas and laboratory-based research on structure and function of grazing ecosystems in different parts of India. The candidate will have to participate actively in field measurements of primary productivity, soil respiration, plant species composition, soil fertility, analysis of satellite-derived data on vegetation attributes using geographical information systems (GIS), data management and analyses.

Salary- Rs. 14,000 + 30% House Rent Allowance (HRA)

Eligibility:

Master’s degree in Ecology or any related discipline with GIS skills.
